What worked:
Tony Finau: In DFS golf we target finishing position upside along with players that can make a lot of birdies and rack up fantasy points. Tony Finau was awesome at accomplishing both last season and it has carried over to this year. It was disappointing on a fan level to see him lose to Xander in the playoff, but a big win is on the horizon for him and we will gladly take another 2nd place finish for DFS and move on to next week.
Paul Casey: Great to see another one of our favorite Optimal plays from last season finding is swing again as Paul Casey was able to put four good rounds together to finish T-16 while leaning on his characteristic strong ball striking.
What didn’t work:
We strive for perfection and always like to look back on some of the predictions that didn’t materialize:
From a process and results standpoint, it was hard to see any areas where would have made any different decisions. There were some golfers in the top ten that we did not roster however, having 6 of 6 of our golfers finish in the top 22 and one in the playoff while taking on a relatively low amount of current form and course history risk will be considered a strong week by our standards.
